Albertus Magnus College Continues to Excel in Producing Career-Ready Graduates
96% of Class of 2024 is Employed or Furthering Education
New Haven, Conn., March 3, 2025
– Consistency is a great measure of Return-on-Investment (ROI). For the ninth year
in a row, Albertus Magnus College graduates outpace the national average when it comes
to finding jobs or continuing their education within six months after earning their
degrees. The Class of 2024 alumni achieved a 96-percent success rate — versus the
most recent 85-percent national comparison rate, according to the National Association
of Colleges and Employers (NACE) First-Destination Survey results. Each of the College’s
last nine graduating classes have achieved at least a 95-percent success rate in the
important early career success and return on investment (ROI) metric, considerably
outperforming national comparison rates that hover in the mid 80-percent range.
The 2024 survey also revealed that 85-percent of Albertus graduates are working in
the field of their chosen major, with the State of Connecticut, Yale-New Haven Health,
Yale University, and the City of New Haven being the top employers of the 2024 class.
In further support of Albertus positive impact within Connecticut, 81-percent of 2024
graduates are working or studying in-state, with another five-percent living in-state
but working fully remote, all contributing to the state’s workforce and economic development.
“I continue to be inspired by the dedicated Albertus faculty and staff who are passionately
focused on supporting student success — from enrollment to graduation and beyond,”
said Albertus President Marc M. Camille, Ed.D. “In today’s increasingly competitive
higher education marketplace and evolving workforce needs, the value of an Albertus
Magnus College education continues to grow and be affirmed by our graduates through
their career successes and the positive impact they have within their organizations
and communities.”
“There is something wonderful to be said about consistency — it speaks volumes regarding
results. It reinforces why Albertus graduates are what employers and educators call
‘career and graduate school ready,’” said Albertus’ Director of Career and Professional
Development, Patrick Clifford. “Classwork combined with their invaluable experiential
learning opportunities such as internships enable our graduates to develop the critical
thinking and career readiness skills — preparing them to succeed in life — especially
here in Connecticut.”
About Albertus Magnus College
Founded in 1925, Albertus is a coeducational Catholic College in the Dominican tradition.
Albertus' values- and liberal arts-based education is recognized by external rankings
such as US News & World Report, Money, and The New York Times, and has been named
a Top 10 Military Friendly School. For ten consecutive years, at least 95% of Albertus
graduates have attained employment or gone on to graduate studies within six months
of completing their degrees. The College has an enrollment of approximately 1,300
students across its traditional undergraduate, accelerated adult undergraduate, and
graduate program levels. Proud to enroll a student body where nearly half of its undergraduate
students receive Federal Pell Grants and are first-generation college goers, Albertus
is known for its innovative curricular offerings, recently launching new Bachelor's
degree programs in Nursing, including BSN and Connecticut's first LPN-to-BSN; General
Health Sciences; Interdisciplinary Studies; and Public Health.
Among its graduate offerings is the State of Connecticut's only Master of Arts in
Art Therapy and Counseling program, and it is just one of three schools to offer a
Master of Science in Human Services. In 2025-26, Albertus is celebrating its historic
100th Anniversary and completing implementation of the Albertus 2025: Lighting the
Way to a Second Century strategic plan, with a bold vision to "be a destination liberal
arts-based college, distinguished in its interdisciplinary and experiential approach
to education, rooted in Dominican values, that prepares students for lifelong civic
engagement and success." To learn more, please visit
