For 15 years, MoDA has been producing high-quality traveling exhibits on Danish and Danish-American art, culture, and industry. These banner exhibits are designed to fit into any space, making them a perfect fit for events, festivals, cultural centers, or gallery spaces. In addition, in 2026 we will begin to offer a selection of objects and programming that are available for loan to accompany certain banner exhibits.

-century Danish theologian and hymn writer who pioneered the Folk School movement – these communities provide an example of ethnic heritage surviving in the midst of mainstream America.

By examining traditional practices and contemporary innovations, local production and global influence, as well as home cooking and restaurant dining, this exhibit explores one of the most important cultural phenomena to come out of the Nordic countries in recent decades.

Jens Jensen (1860-1951) is celebrated as a pioneer of the “prairie school” of landscape architecture. He was an early advocate of using native plants in parks and garden design, and conserving natural spaces for human recreation and reflection.

This exhibit also explores biking across America and how that development parallels, differs from, or in some cases, is influenced by Denmark.

Harnessing the Winds of Change
It is difficult to imagine Denmark today without its iconic wind turbines dotting the coastlines. Close to 50% of Denmark’s electricity comes from wind, and Denmark exports knowledge, equipment, and skills around the world. In this exhibit, explore the rise of wind energy in Denmark, current advancements, and ongoing challenges, as well as how Denmark and the United States have worked together since the 1970s to further develop the field.

$200 per month plus the cost of insured shipping

$100 for up to one month, plus the cost of insured shipping.  Longer rentals may be negotiated.
