Retreats
Retreats are an essential part of developing young men to be reflective, thoughtful believers. Taking time away from the routine of the day and the "busyness" of life helps students gain perspective and evaluate priorities.

Leaders in Mission
This retreat is open to leaders of clubs, affinity groups, and sports teams who wish to improve their leadership skills. The retreat provides an opportunity for students to examine their own leadership gifts and areas of growth as well as work with students in their club, affinity group, or athletic team to review their previous year and plan for the upcoming year. Retreat programming will be targeted and specific for students, depending on which extracurricular they are there to represent.
It is recommended that students only attend the retreat if they are already part of a club, affinity group, or athletic team attending the retreat and to attend the retreat with other students from their group
.
This retreat is open to all Bellarmine sophomores, juniors, and seniors (classes of 2028, 2027, and 2026).

CLC Caring Life Community
Caring Life Community or CLC is a transformative program that not only fosters deep connections and personal growth among students but also nurtures their faith and spirituality. In this unique initiative, participants are assigned to small groups and gather weekly to share their stories, dreams, and challenges in a supportive and empathetic environment. Servant Leadership Overnight Retreat
This retreat is about growing in understanding of what it means to be a Servant Leader. Bellarmine identifies being "open to growth and leadership opportunities" as one of the values that every single student should develop by the time that he graduates. This retreat offers students time to reflect on their gifts and talents, recognize God’s invitation toward leadership, and consider the call to share their personal gifts and talents with others. Activities will include presentations, small group sharing, team building activities, and other prayer experiences. This is an overnight retreat.

What is a retreat?
Why should my child go on a retreat?
Do students have to be Catholic to go on a retreat?
Are retreats required?
Will my child be penalized for missing class?
Do I need to provide transportation?
How much does it cost?
How do I register?
A retreat is a chance to step away from the pace of everyday life and reflect on what matters most. Students spend time in prayer, conversation, community-building activities, games, and personal reflection. All are welcome—regardless of faith background.
Retreats give students time to recharge, connect more deeply with themselves, God, and others, and reflect on their personal and spiritual growth. Many describe them as a highlight of their Bellarmine experience.
No. While our retreats are rooted in Jesuit spirituality, students from all faiths—or no faith tradition—are welcome. Each retreat invites students to explore their beliefs in a thoughtful and respectful setting.
Retreats are optional, but they are a deeply valued part of life at Bellarmine. They provide space to reflect and grow into a “man for and with others.”
No. Students receive a grace period for any classes missed due to a retreat. See our
Missed Work Grace Policy
.
No. Bellarmine provides roundtrip transportation for all off-campus retreats.
Retreat costs vary based on duration and location. Tuition Assistance applies to retreat costs as well.
