You are well aware that disruptive technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), 3D Printing, Robotics, High-Speed Travel, Block Chain Technologies, Medical Innovations, Autonomous Vehicles, Advanced Virtual Reality, and Renewable Energy have disrupted traditional industries and businesses.
This could happen because of the digital revolution. During Covid-19, the evolution of digital technologies in higher education and the recent NEP have started disrupting the traditional university system of education. The Governments and institutions are trying to establish online digital universities which will not have set boundaries at all. In the immediate future, a student will have a choice to choose his/her course of study from any university located in any part of the world and learn from a teacher of his /her liking. Many corporate houses are pondering on establishing their own digital universities. There lies the challenge for a traditional university like REVA.
A university system will be focussing mainly on teaching and learning; research and innovation and professional services. As a University, we would like to bring revolutionary changes in these major activities to remain in the competition. Our immediate goal is to achieve the status of “Institution of Eminence” and in the near future, we would like to be a World Class University.
We strive to make our students, great thinkers and meet not only their aspirations and even their parents. We would keep India's scientific, technological, economic and social aspects in mind while developing our curriculum. In all, REVA University will focus on developing the emotional, intellectual, social, economic, environmental, spiritual and physical well-being of every student.
I understand that to make these happen, the resources required are enormous, but the committed management and visionary leadership will help overcome these challenges.
