Just Hired: Sarah Tapper
Meet Sarah Tapper, the newly appointed director of Programs and Exhibitions at the Freeport Art Museum. She was selected following a three-round virtual interview process and is a recent graduate of Western Illinois University's Museum Studies program.

Black Hawk College and Western Illinois University Formalize Transfer Partnership to Expand Student Pathways
Western Illinois University and Black Hawk College (BHC) officially formalized a new articulation agreement during a signing event held today, at the Black Hawk College-Quad Cities campus in Moline, IL.
WIU to Offer Online Bachelor of Science in Information Systems
The Western Illinois University School of Computer Sciences is expanding its academic offerings with the launch of a fully online Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, beginning Spring 2026. This new program builds on the School of Computer Sciences longstanding expertise in delivering face-to-face and online instruction.

WIU Quad Cities Counseling Program Receives Eight-Year CACREP Reaffirmation
The Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling graduate programs at Western Illinois University-Quad Cities have received reaffirmation of accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), continuing a longstanding accreditation held since 1987.
