Specialty Labs & Spaces | Library Breadcrumb Specialty Labs & Spaces 3DXP Lab (3D Experience Lab) Location: Orbach 146 The 3DXP Lab houses advanced computing systems, virtual reality equipment, and professional film and photography resources that enable students to seamlessly integrate multimedia technologies with their academic studies. Creat'R Lab Location: Orbach 140 The Creat'R Lab serves as our premier makerspace, equipped with professional fabrication tools including 3D printers, laser engraving systems, embroidery machines, sewing equipment, button makers, and precision hand tools. Poster Printing Location: Orbach 121 A large format plotter is available for academic material printing/copying/scanning only. For all other large-format printing and scanning, please go to campus Printing & Reprographics. Only trained Library staff may operate the plotter. Files must be print-ready. The scanner can only handle individual sheets with a maximum width of 36 inches. STAR Lab Location: Orbach 147 The STAR Lab operates as a premier multidisciplinary research facility, featuring four high-performance Alienware workstations equipped with specialized software suites designed to accelerate academic research and scholarly projects. Graduate Study Carrels Location: Rivera The Graduate Study Wing offers a quiet space for graduate students to study and research.  Amenities in this space are available on a first-come, first-served basis and include comfortable study desk options and the use of push carts to assist in transporting library materials. Multimedia Viewing & Gaming Rooms Location: Rivera These reservable rooms are configured for media viewing or gaming and support a variety of video formats and gaming platforms.  They contain comfortable furniture and large format TV screens Special Collection Reading Room Location: Rivera 4th Floor This reading room is the public access point for all collections housed in Special Collections & University Archives GrAdvantage Location: Rivera 1st Floor GrAdvantage is a collaborative space specifically designed to provide high-level support, programming, and resources to UCR graduate students.
