Ministry hosts election observers from the European Platform for Democratic Elections

The Ministry of Public Administration today hosted a delegation from the European Platform for Democratic Elections (EPDE), an organisation that brings together European researchers specialising in electoral integrity.
Government adopts development strategies for volunteering and non-governmental organisations

To mark International Volunteer Day, the Ministry of Public Administration presented today the first standalone strategies dedicated to volunteering and non-governmental organisations (NGOs): the Volunteering Development Strategy and the Strategy for the Development of Non-Governmental Organisations, both of which run until 2030. The two strategies were adopted by the Slovenian Government at its regular session yesterday.

State Secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration Jure Trbič attended the 49th session of the Council of Europe's Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Strasbourg. Representing the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, he addressed the members of the Congress during the debate on implementing the European Charter of Local Self-Government in Slovenia.

Public procurement: Members of the Central Purchasing Bodies (CPB) Network have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation
Rome is currently hosting the annual meeting of the Central Purchasing Bodies (CPB) Network, of which Slovenia is an active member. On the sidelines of the meeting, members agreed upon and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, representing a joint commitment to promoting and strengthening international cooperation on strategic procurement.

Amendment to the General Administrative Procedure Act to enable more efficient and faster administrative procedures
Following the suspensive veto by the National Council, deputies of the National Assembly reconfirmed the amendment to the General Administrative Procedure Act today. The amendment will allow administrative procedures to be managed more efficiently, resulting in a faster transition from the start of a procedure to the final decision. The Act will enter into force three months after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia.

Austrian Ambassador Bühler pays courtesy visit to Minister Props
The Minister of Public Administration, Franc Props, held an introductory meeting with H.E. Dr Konrad G. Bühler, the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Slovenia. Dr Bühler, who has been in post since November 2024, was accompanied by his deputy, Kristof Grabmayer-Keri.
