Local Labor Boards
Local Board Information
Pursuant to recent amendments to Section 10 of the PEBA, “After June 30, 2020, no new local board may be created”. Additionally, all remaining local boards must have rules, appoint members, meet for business, avoid vacancies for longer than 60 days, and biannually affirm in odd years that they remain in compliance with PEBA.
After the initial affirmations of compliance required in 2021, many local boards have been abandoned, and now only four remaining local boards (Albuquerque, Albuquerque Public Schools, Deming, and Silver City).
