Preamble
The Ph.D. program was initiated at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) in 2008 adapting
the UGC regulations. The regulations governing the Ph.D. program at Yenepoya (Deemed
to be University) have been amended from time to time in accordance with the gazetted
amendements of the UGC. The Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) calls for applications
for enrollment of candidates for the Ph.D. program twice a year, July session and January
session.

To develop a high quality education center.
To create and encourage skilled personnel having innovative research capabilities and
commendable professional conduct.
To use research as a tool for the scientific progress of mankind and
To keep abreast of the changing scenario in health and allied science areas with the ethical
values as the driving force.
Vision
The Yenepoya University envisions building a knowledge base of the highest caliber, the main
strength of which is faculty who are critical thinkers, progressive learners and effective
communicators with a passion for social and community development, through research.
Objectives
To develop an unparalleled research-based doctoral program of high quality allowing a
complementary amalgamation of knowledge bases in Health and Allied Sciences.
To contribute to the body of knowledge in the ever growing field of Health and Allied
Sciences.
