Tuition for Bachelor’s Degrees at CEU
Tuition for each of CEU’s bachelor’s degree programs is €8,000 per year. This doesn’t include the application fee, enrollment fee, accommodation, or other living expenses. Here’s a breakdown of the estimated annual cost of attendance for a student in one of CEU's bachelor's degree program.

Required Fees for all Degree Students
Enrollment Fee
All students are required to pay the enrollment fee for the duration of their studies.
It covers institutional costs related to maintaining the student status in the universities’ database systems, reporting requirements, information technology services and financial services. The Enrollment Fee entitles students to use computer labs, email and Internet access, and contributes to university residential life programs, and student
activities.

When you accept the offer of admission, confirming you will attend CEU, you’re required to pay a one-time
Registration Fee
. This fee can be paid online via the

The Registration Fee is not refundable.

Austrian Student Union Fee
As per the Austrian Student Union Act (HSG for short; section 38, paragraph 3), every student in Austria is automatically a member of the student union and required to pay a membership fee every semester.

CEU Discounts
Alumni Discount
Candidates who are children of CEU graduates (from any CEU degree or access program) can be considered for the Alumni Discount.
The discount waives 20% of the tuition fee for the given program

Sibling Discount
Candidates who are siblings of a current CEU student can be considered for the Sibling Discount.
The discount waives 20% of the tuition fee for the given program
.
Payment Schedule for Academic Year 2026/2027
Registration fee
payable by the applicants (Please see the payment deadline in your Acceptance Offer).
For BA and MA applicants it is an initial tuition fee payment, which will be deducted from the payable tuition fee.
For PhD applicants it will be credited towards the Enrollment Fee for years I. and II.

In very exceptional cases, there is a possibility to request an Individual Payment Plan (IPP), allowing to pay the Tuition and Enrollment fee in smaller installments. The IPP request (for the 1st Tuition fee installment and/or the Enrollment fee) must be addressed to the
Financial Aid Office
between June 1 and July 25.
Please note
that an IPP can only be approved if the Registration fee and OH fee payments as well as at least 1,000 EUR of the Tuition fee and 100 EUR of the Enrollment fee are received by the payment deadline (August 1).

that IPP requests
cannot
be submitted before June 1 or after July 25.
December 2, 2026 - 2nd installment (50% of the fee)
In very exceptional cases, there is a possibility to request an Individual Payment Plan (IPP). The IPP request (for the 2nd Tuition fee installment) must be addressed to the

between November 1 and 25 and can be considered only after the 1st Tuition fee installment is settled.

Late Fees and Refunds
This section contains important information on refunds, late fees, and CEU's Policy on Holds.
Refund of Tuition and Fees
Please note that the information below does not apply to refunds for the CEU Executive MBA tuition and fees; refunds for the CEU Executive MBA tuition and fees are governed by the appropriate provision of the program’s Study Agreement signed by each participant.
In case of withdrawal, the following refund schedule will apply in the AY 2025/26:
Formal withdrawal

will result in a refund of the tuition fee installment paid.

September 1, 2025
will result in a refund of 30% of the tuition fee installment paid.
after
September 1, 2025
will result in no refund of the tuition fee installment paid.
Late Payments, Late fees and Penalties
In case of culpable late payment of any fee, the student is obligated to pay a reminder fee equal to 2 % of the due payment, whereby the reminder fee is limited to 150,00 EUR. In case of failure of the student to meet due payment obligations after having received two payment reminders, each of which sets a grace period of two weeks, and the second one also announces the termination of the Study Agreement in case of non-payment.
Policy on Holds
Failure to meet any obligation to the university, including those conditions set forth in the individual's acceptance offer and financial obligations, will result in suspension of access to student services. These include - but are not limited to - issuance of enrollment certificate, transcripts, and diplomas, access to some functions of SITS (i.e. class registration), grant payments, etc. The Policy on Holds will be applied until the obligation is met and the hold is cleared by the respective office.
