The
Asian Journal on Perspectives in Education
(AJPE), a peer-reviewed, open-access journal of Far Eastern University (FEU), marks another significant advancement in its internationalization efforts as it is now indexed and abstracted in 16 national and international databases and indexing systems, thus reinforcing its growing visibility, credibility, and contribution to the global scholarly community.
In addition to its previously established indexing in major platforms such as Google Scholar, EBSCOhost, ResearchBib Academic Resource Index, Andrew Gonzales Philippine Citation Index, BASE, Philippine National Library, Scilit, Crossref, Dimensions, Index Copernicus, Semantic Scholar, and J-Gate, AJPE has recently been included in four additional reputable databases: Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources, Open Academic Journals Index, WorldCat, and EuroPub.
This expansion highlights AJPE’s sustained commitment to rigorous peer review, editorial quality, and open-access dissemination, positioning the journal as an increasingly influential platform for education research in the Philippines, the Asia-Pacific region, and beyond.
“Reaching sixteen indexing databases is not merely a numerical achievement; it represents AJPE’s deliberate and sustained effort to align with global standards of scholarly publishing,” said Dr. Rosarito T. Suatengco, editor-in-chief of AJPE and research fellow at FEU. “This milestone strengthens our commitment to advancing
accessible, high-quality research that contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in promoting inclusive and equitable quality education.”
As an open-access journal, AJPE continues to champion the democratization of knowledge by ensuring that its published works are freely accessible to educators, researchers, and students worldwide. This approach supports FEU’s institutional vision of fostering innovation, inclusivity, and global engagement, while contributing to the broader movement toward open knowledge systems and responsible research dissemination.
The journal’s integration with Crossref further enhances its scholarly infrastructure through the assignment of Digital Object Identifiers, ensuring the permanence, traceability, and citability of its publications. Meanwhile, inclusion in platforms such as EBSCOhost, Dimensions, Semantic Scholar, and WorldCat significantly strengthens AJPE’S discoverability, citation potential, and integration into international research networks.
Beyond indexing, AJPE continues to invest in capacity-building initiatives and editorial development, including its AJPE Writeshop Series, research webinars, and mentorship programs designed to support emerging scholars in producing publication-ready research aligned with international standards. The journal also leverages the Open Journal Systems platform to maintain efficient, transparent, and globally competitive publishing workflows.
This latest achievement underscores FEU’s strategic commitment to research excellence, internationalization, and knowledge sharing, positioning AJPE as a key contributor to the evolving landscape of global academic publishing.
As AJPE continues its trajectory toward inclusion in major global indexing systems, it invites scholars, educators, and researchers to contribute to and engage with a journal that is increasingly recognized for its quality, accessibility, and impact.
