Domestic (WA) Name Reservation
Purpose:
Name Reservations may be used by any Domestic (WA) business entity to reserve a business name prior to registering with the Secretary of State and receiving the Unified Business Identifier (UBI) Number. Per
RCW 23.95.310
, a name reservation shall reserve the name for the applicant's exclusive use for 180 days. After this period the name reservation will expire and cannot be renewed.

Purpose:
An Annual Report is used to affirm or update business entity information recorded by the Secretary of State and must be filed yearly to maintain a business' active status. An Annual Report is due by the business entity’s expiration date, which is the last day of the month in which the business was first formed/registered with the Secretary of State; and can be filed up to 180 days before the expiration date.

Purpose:

This form can also be used by a nonprofit corporation, nonprofit miscellaneous and mutual corporation, or a limited liability partnership to initially list the principal office and governors if needed prior to filing its first annual report.

The initial report can be filed with the origination document for free or it can be submitted at any point within the first 120 days of existence for an additional fee. This document is available for the following business entities: profit corporation, profit professional service corporation, limited liability company/professional limited liability company, limited partnership/professional limited partnership, and limited liability limited partnership/professional limited liability limited partnership.

Purpose:
A Commercial Termination Statement may be used to terminate the registration of a recorded commercial registered agent and resign as the registered agent for all represented business entities. After 31 days, the commercial registered agent will be removed from each represented business entity. Please note, the resigning agent is required to send notice of their resignation to all represented business entities.

Purpose:
A Trademark Reservation may be used by an applicant that intends to register a wordmark or logo/design mark but has not yet used the trademark in commerce. A reservation will reserve the mark for exclusive use of the applicant for a period of 180 days. A reservation may not be renewed.

Purpose:
A Trademark Registration is used to register a wordmark or logo/design mark that has been used in commerce. The registration of a trademark will distinguish the owner of the mark for a period of five years. To maintain the registration, the mark must be renewed prior to the expiration date.
