Register and Apply
Creating an account for our
Application Portal
allows you to pause and continue working on your application on your own time. An application fee is required with every application. Visit

STEP 3
Submit Supplemental Materials
Submit the necessary admissions materials (transcripts, references, personal statement, resume, etc.) through the Application Portal.
We don’t require the GRE
or any other standardized entrance exam scores.

Each application will require several components. These include the following:

What Happens Next?
Your admissions counselor will notify you that your application file is ready for review once we have received all of your materials and application fee. In general, it takes up to two weeks to review your application once we have received all relevant materials. Please stay in close communication with your admissions counselor throughout the application process to ensure you are completing all required steps in a timely manner.
We also recommend completing your
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
at least three months before the start of the term in which you plan to enroll. You can find additional financial aid information on our

Notice of Admission
We will render your individual admission decision within a few weeks of your application entering faculty review. We ask that you accept or decline our offer of admission within one week. Once accepted, you must submit a nonrefundable tuition deposit of $100 with your acceptance. The tuition deposit should be made for the specific semester you plan to start. Saybrook University does not offer students the opportunity to defer their admission. Accepted students who decide to withdraw will need to re-apply through the online application form, submit any additional documents required by the department, and complete an additional faculty interview.
