Research and Innovation
Research is the cornerstone of knowledge production, and it provides a path for applying academic insights to better understand and engage with the world around us. As an R1 university, Tulane’s School of Liberal Arts faculty and students are engaged in research projects that focus on a range of topics at the local, national, and global level.

Graduate
Within our research-oriented programs leading to the degrees of PhD, MA, MS, MFA, students obtain advanced knowledge and make an original contribution to a specialized discipline using quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
Undergraduate
Undergraduate research is an important part of the Tulane experience. Our students actively participate in faculty directed and independent research projects that span the School of Liberal Arts.
