Community
Community
Burgundy doesn’t just refer to our school or our campuses. Burgundy is a beloved community.
The Burgundy Difference
Burgundy Difference
The Burgundy community is united by its commitment to creating a learning community that affirms children for who they are and where they are developmentally and that helps all our students realize their full potential as students and as people.
Giving
Giving
The Burgundy that our students and families love and enjoy today is the product of a handful of families doing together what none could have done individually: purchasing land, rehabilitating and raising buildings, hiring a professional faculty.

High School & College Placement
High School & College Placement
Wondering about High School and college placement after Burgundy? Our graduates move on to attend a broad array of excellent independent, parochial, and public schools, which prepare them for an incredible set of colleges and universities.
Our high school students distinguish themselves as engaged learners and confident and outgoing community members and strong advocates for themselves, for others, and for causes. A number of our graduates have become valedictorians or salutatorians of their high school graduating classes, as well as artists, athletes, debaters, and founders of new clubs, student organizations, and service efforts. Burgundy alumni attend a tremendous range of fine colleges and universities and choose rewarding careers and lives of leadership and service, reflective of Burgundy’s core values and spirit of academic exploration.
Burgundy’s Head of School and Middle School Head, along with support staff, work to help families achieve the best placement for each graduating 8th grade student. Burgundy provides excellent step-by-step support to families throughout the high school application process, which formally begins in the spring of 7th grade.
Academically, we have been impressed by the focus on collaborative projects and cooperative learning that are expected and encouraged in the classroom. An emphasis on learning how to learn goes hand in hand with learning core knowledge in subject areas. Our oldest daughter, now a graduate of Burgundy, has gone on to a very competitive academic environment that she is thriving in. She attributes much of her success to her years at Burgundy where her teachers spent time encouraging her, challenging her and giving her a sense of independence and confidence to pursue her own goals.
