Year 6 into Year 7 transition
Here at Heartlands Academy, we understand the value of creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our students, particularly during times of change. Our committed staff members have been preparing for the arrival of our new Year 7 cohort, and we are looking forward to welcoming them into our school community. To facilitate a smooth transition, we have organised a series of induction activities and events aimed at helping your child and addressing any queries or worries they may have.
The new Year 7 Parent Evening is scheduled for July 2026.
Transition week for all new Year 7 students will occur in July 2026.
They will take part in a variety of activities designed to help familiarise themselves with the academy layout, important routines and expectations and our culture and values. They will be able to meet their new learning manager and other key staff. Students will be provided with a healthy snack in a morning break session but are reminded to bring a packed lunch as well.
