What is Criminal Justice?
Have you always wanted to be a police officer? OCTC's Criminal Justice program can
prepare you for a career in this exciting, challenging, and rewarding field. If you
are cool under pressure and good with people, the criminal justice field might be
for you. Our instructors are experienced law enforcement officers who have served
in key positions with agencies in our region. Our students benefit from excellent
classroom instruction as well as hands-on activities. Our graduates go to work at
police and sheriffs departments, jails, and other agencies.

and security clearance. A felony conviction or a bad driving record could keep you
from gaining employment. Also, keep in mind that some agencies will usually have physical
fitness requirements.
