Who has the opportunity to attend Mount Carmel College?
Mount Carmel is a Diocesan Catholic School. Many of our students come from the Catholic primary schools in the Catholic North Western Community (CNWC) or from local government primary schools.
There are many students in the College who are of other Christian and Non-Christian faiths and enrolment applications are welcome from all members of the community.
What are your intake years?
Students may apply to enrol at the College from Reception to Year 12.
Are enrolment places available at the College now?
For the latest information on the availability of places at Mount Carmel College, please contact the Registrar on (08) 8447 0500.
When should I make contact with the school to seek enrolment?
Due to the competitive nature of enrolments, parents should contact the Registrar to obtain application forms as early as possible, preferably 2 years before the starting date for the student if possible.

How will my child be cared for at Mount Carmel College?
Pastoral Care is a top priority at Mount Carmel College and we care deeply about the academic and social/emotional needs of all students. The College resources a broad spectrum of staff who work to support students to meet their day to day needs.
How can I notify the College of a student's absence/lateness?
When a student is late or absent, it is the parent’s/caregiver’s responsibility to notify the College before 9am. The best way is to text student name, class, reason for lateness/absenteeism and the date to 0438 368 846.
This is an automated mobile text service that advises the College and parents/caregivers that a student is late or absent.
What languages are offered?
Language is a compulsory subject From Reception to Year 8. Reception to Year 6 students study Japanese. Year 7 and 8 students have the choice of Japanese or Italian. Many students continue their language studies right through to the conclusion of Year 12.
What sporting opportunities are available?
A strong sporting culture exists in the College with students having many opportunities to participate in knockout, carnival and weekly after-school sporting programs, both in the primary years and the secondary years.
What opportunities are available for the development of musical talents?
Music is an integral part of the curriculum in all year levels and students have the opportunity to participate in bands, drum groups, instrumental groups and vocal groups coordinated by our talented music staff.
Individual tuition in a wide range of instruments and voice is also available through the school.
A highlight on the Performing Arts calendar is the biennial College Musical involving students from across different year levels.
