101 Fun Things to Do as a Knox Student
Take a Virtual Tour
Eat, sleep, and breathe your college education.
Your Knox education won’t be limited to the classroom. Or the lab. Or the library. Nearly every square foot of campus offers you the opportunity to learn about yourself, build your leadership skills, and explore new interests.
Four years here are going to go by faster than you can even imagine.
Student Housing
Your first home at Knox will be in one of our residence halls. Juniors and seniors may choose to move to a campus apartment or townhouse—or even to a shared theme house.
Residence Halls
Our living arrangements are designed to accommodate a kind of "community learning." Most students live in residence halls, the majority of which are arranged in suites, groups of single and double bedrooms that open on a shared living space.
Theme Houses
Yes, you’ll find fraternity houses on campus, but that’s just the beginning. There are more than half a dozen houses on campus that bring together students with the same interests—whether that’s human rights, jazz, or a shared cultural background—to live together under the same roof.
Home Sweet House
Living Learning Communities
First-year students can choose to live in a Living Learning Community (LLC) among a group of students and faculty exploring the same issues together. It’s like a
First-Year Preceptorial
that goes 24/7, and it’s an amazing place to meet your future lifelong friends.

Campus Dining
Breakfast is served starting at 7:30 a.m.—but you can grab something to eat at one of our campus venues until 11 p.m. Much of the food Knox serves is locally produced (like, right on campus). All of it is pretty tasty.
Eating On Campus
Health & Wellness
You can get treatment for minor illnesses and injuries right on campus—at no cost and with no limit on the number of times you visit. Take advantage of free individual and group counseling for mental health struggles. Or get active at the 13,000-square-foot E. & L. Andrew Fitness Center, where there’s a cardio exercise area, a free weight training area, and a fitness studio.
Health & Counseling Services
Join the club. Or start your own.
It’s hard to keep track of exactly how many clubs and organizations there are on campus, because students start new ones all the time. If you’re into it, chances are good someone else on campus is, too.

Life at Knox
I want to get involved here. I’m not gonna lie, I’m worried about my sleep schedule.
Jonealya Wells-Mohn ’27
My favorite place to study alone is on the third floor of Seymour Library. My favorite place to study as a group is either the Red Room, first floor of Seymour Library, or on picnic blankets outside.

Living in a suite has been impactful for me. I had a community of people I lived with who were my first friends and I had a very supportive RA [resident assistant] who inspired me to become an RA.
