Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care CHC30121 (RTO31736)
This course is the entry-level qualification to become a Childhood Education Assistant, Out of School Hours Care Worker or Preschool Assistant. This course requires 160 hours of placement to complete the course.
To work in child care you must have, or be actively working towards, at least have a Certificate III qualification. This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings that work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.
Future Pathways
This qualification is the entry level requirement for employment in childcare and early learning centres. Once employed, graduates may continue further education to obtain a Diploma level qualification.
