At Capital Health, the Obstetrical Triage Unit provides specialized care 24/7 for pregnancy, labor, and postpartum concerns. Our skilled team assesses each patient, monitors mothers and babies, and determines the next steps. Whether it's reassurance, treatment, or admission to Labor and Delivery, the Early Admission Unit, or the Postpartum Unit, we ensure a smooth transition tailored to each individual's needs.
The
Labor and Delivery Unit
aims to provide patient-centered care throughout the birth process. The team of obstetric providers, specialty trained nurses, and support staff collaborate with patients to develop a personalized birth preference plan, prioritizing safety and comfort. We are proud to be a

hospital. The unit accommodates various birth experiences, from low-intervention births to high-risk deliveries, to meet individual needs and assist with the birth process.
Mercer County's only
Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
is part of the region's sole state-designated Regional Perinatal Center (RPC) at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell.
Infants born prematurely, particularly those at 28 weeks or earlier, face significant risks due to underdeveloped organs. With decades of experience and the use of protocols and advanced, evidence-based medicine, Capital Health provides reliable care for families and their newborns in critical need.
At Capital Health, our Mother Baby Unit is dedicated to providing comprehensive postpartum care to ensure families receive the best possible start. Our experienced team offers individualized care plans tailored to your unique needs. We provide lactation consulting, parenting education, and postpartum support to help you adjust and thrive. Our spacious, private rooms are equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay.

can help you prepare to be the best parent possible by teaching you how to prepare for labor and postpartum, how to care for your infant, and setting you up for breastfeeding success.

Capital Health Adds Pulsed Field Ablation System, Improving Access to Care for AFib Patients in Mercer and Bucks Counties
Specialists from Capital Health’s Cardiac Electrophysiology Program, part of its Heart and Vascular Institute, unveiled a new, minimally invasive pulsed field ablation system at the Al Maghazehe Heart and Vascular Center located at Capital Health Regional Medical Center (RMC). The addition of the new system doubles the hospital’s capacity to treat atrial fibrillation (AFib) patients who are candidates for ablation.
