The event was officially inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage and Chief Guest Principal Secretary (PS) for Science, Research and Innovation Prof. Shaukat Abdulrazak, in a ceremony that underscored the Egerton University’s unwavering commitment to advancing knowledge and addressing societal challenges through scientific research. The 16th Biennial International Science Conference at Egerton University marks a significant milestone in promoting scientific research and collaboration, highlighting Egerton University's commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation.
The Conference theme: Empowering Change: Advancing Sustainable,Inclusive and Resilient Global Societies Through Agriculture, Education, Science, Technology and Innovation”_ underscores the importance of collaborative partnerships support in fostering a vibrant scientific community dedicated to addressing societal challenges. In his speech , read by Prof. Benard Aduda, DVC for Academic Affairs, Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage emphasized the critical role of scientific inquiry in transforming societies and expressed the university’s dedication to nurturing a vibrant research community.
He highlighted Egerton’s ongoing efforts to promote interdisciplinary projects and strengthen partnerships with government, industry, and international stakeholders.
