Through collaborative partnerships across campus, in Hartford, and beyond, the Pre-Orientation Programs foster awareness, care, connection, conversations, and experiences as a community. Trinity’s Career & Life Design Center led the Trinity F1RST program to prepare new, first-generation students—the first in their family to complete a four-year college degree—for a successful transition to college. International Student Orientation is an important part of an international student’s introduction to life in the United States as well as on Trinity’s campus. The three-day Invention, Innovation, & Entrepreneurship (IIE) program is part of the Tyree Innovation Fellowship , which is a two-year program for students interested in leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship. P.R.I.D.E. Welcome Weekend is a three-day program designed to support incoming first-year students from all backgrounds and identities in making a successful transition to Trinity’s academic and social environment. Quest is Trinity’s outdoor leadership program, which offered eight-day and five-day backpacking trips, rock climbing, and base camping—all along the Connecticut section of the Appalachian Trail. New students take part in Trinity’s Invention, Innovation & Entrepreneurship (IIE) Pre-Orientation Program. Students who joined the Summit-to-Success (S2S) Scholars program got a jump-start on successfully navigating college. They practiced life design and creative problem-solving skills, developed individualized success plans, and met with a professional coaching team. The Elizabeth Elting Foundation Venture Conference is a three-day leadership experience centered on advancing women in leadership. Open to all students, the conference offered opportunities to connect with future classmates through teambuilding, strengths assessments, and leadership development sessions.
