Dean’s welcome note
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Arts and Design at Pharos University — a vibrant academic hub and a true platform for creativity and innovation. Our faculty is proud to be a home for aspiring talents, where imagination is nurtured and artistic voices are shaped. We extend our sincere appreciation to the administration of Pharos University for their unwavering support and continuous efforts in providing a dynamic and inspiring learning environment that empowers our students to excel both academically and professionally.
Art, throughout history, has never been merely a tool for aesthetic expression; it is a powerful intellectual and cultural force that enables individuals to understand themselves and the world around them. On a personal level, art fosters balanced, thoughtful, and expressive individuals capable of critical thinking and emotional depth. On an educational level, it enhances creativity, analytical thinking, and design skills while equipping students with practical expertise relevant to today’s creative industries. And on a societal level, art is a civilizational language that reflects cultural identity, cultivates awareness, and elevates collective taste, promoting values of beauty and belonging.
Our faculty is proud to offer a diverse range of specialized departments that reflect the richness of artistic disciplines and meet the demands of the modern creative market:
Interior Design Department: Merges artistic vision with architectural principles to shape aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces.
Graphic Design Department: Focuses on visual identity, advertising, and multimedia, with an emphasis on innovation in visual communication.
Photography Department: Develops visual storytelling skills through mastering composition, lighting, and camera techniques.
Media Arts Department: Keeps pace with digital evolution in animation, multimedia design, and creative video production.
Fashion Design Department: Guides students in creating modern, original fashion concepts that balance heritage with contemporary trends.
At the Faculty of Arts and Design, we believe that art is a message, and our students are its ambassadors — leading the way toward a more creative, thoughtful, and inspired future.

The Faculty of Arts and Design – Pharos University awards a bachelor degree in Arts and Design in the previous disciplines and programs accredited and approved by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities and the Ministry of Higher Education.
