Orientation
We are so excited to welcome you to the Bulldog family. Orientation is designed to help new students and their families feel confident, prepared, and connected before arriving on campus in August.
Through Orientation, you’ll learn how to navigate campus resources, meet classmates and campus leaders, explore academic departments, and start to find your place within the Bulldog community. Our professional staff and student leaders are here to guide you step-by-step so you know what to do, when to do it, and where to go for help.
Whether you’re a first-year or transfer student, this hub will walk you through important requirements, next steps, and tips for a smooth transition to college life.
Orientation sessions are organized by cohort, with a different date assigned to each group. More details about how to register and your specific schedule will be shared soon. Keep checking your email and this page for updates!

This session is required to help all F-1 students activate their visas in SEVIS and start their academic journey with confidence. You’ll learn about essential F-1 rules and regulations, on-campus and U.S. employment, Social Security numbers, and tax responsibilities. We’ll also introduce health and wellness resources and include a few fun, interactive activities to help you connect with new peers. Join us to begin your Wingate experience informed, prepared, and ready to make lasting friendships!

New Student Onboarding is your personalized guide to prepare for move-in and your first semester at Wingate University!
Workday will be your go-to place for managing important student information, such as:

Reviewing your Financial aid

Family
Summer Orientation is for you too! Students are allowed to bring up to two guests with them to Summer Orientation. During Summer Orientation, you will hear how Wingate can support you and your students during their four years here!
