Registration is now open for the
Alpha Tournament Company’s Scholastic League (ATCSL) 12U Division
ice hockey team for the
2026–27 season
. This is a community-based team exclusive to players who reside within the North Allegheny school boundary, including virtual and private school students. Eligible players must have a birth year of
2014, 2015, or 2016
, and all skill levels from Inhouse to AAA are welcome. While the team uses "NA" branding, it is not affiliated with the North Allegheny School District.
The season runs from
September or October through mid-March
, consisting of 15 games plus playoffs. Games are typically held once per week with 13-minute periods in a
no-checking
league. Primary game locations include the Alpha Ice Complex in Harmarville, Shady Side Academy in Fox Chapel, and the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry. The mission of the league is to support player development and sportsmanship while fostering school pride in a scholastic environment.
Season fees are approximately
$400–$475,
depending on roster size, with jerseys and socks requiring a separate cost. To secure a spot, a team deposit is due by
July 19, 2026

A fundraiser is currently underway for

, with all proceeds benefiting the
North Allegheny Baseball Boosters
. These lanyards are available for
$10 each

Girl Scouts Volunteers Urgently Needed!
Robert Morris University is hosting two sessions of its Men’s Basketball Day Camp for boys entering grades 2–9 The first session is scheduled for June 22–25, and the second session will take place July 20–23. All participants will receive a t-shirt and a basketball. Campers who register for both sessions can apply the discount code "BOTHCAMPS" to receive a $100 discount on the second day camp. The North Allegheny Special Education Parent Networking Group (NASEPNG) is hosting a Networking Dinner on Monday, April 27, from 6:30–8:30 PM at Clark's Restaurant, located at 75 Blazier Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Following this, a Networking Bowling Event will take place on Thursday, May 21, from 6:30–8:30 PM at Perry Park Lanes. The Sewickley Classic 5K & Festival is taking place on May 16, 2026, at War Memorial Park. The event features a School Team Competition where the school with the most registrants wins $500. Interested participants can register at

The festival includes a variety of family-friendly activities such as live music, food trucks, vendors, a balloon artist, and magic. Children can enjoy the SweetRide Art Bus, a Kids Dash, bounce houses, a Touch-A-Truck area, face painting, and airbrush tattoos. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Cinderella.
Participants in the 5K will receive medals, and the top finishers in the race will be awarded $500 gift cards to Orr's Jewelers. Please note that the North Allegheny School District does not endorse this program, event, or organization.
Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania is hosting a series of free "Launch Into Girl Scouts" parties designed to introduce girls and their families to the organization through hands-on STEM exploration. These rocket-themed events feature several interactive stations where participants can decorate and launch paper rockets, design their own planets, create UV bead bracelets, and learn about the history of female NASA astronauts. The program emphasizes building new friendships and embarking on adventures in a supportive environment.
Four event options are available, all scheduled from
6:00–7:00 PM
. On
Thursday, April 9
, sessions will take place at the Old Firehouse in North Park (Allison Park) and the Buffalo Inn in South Park. A second round of events follows on
Tuesday, April 14
, at the Ohio Township Nature Center in Sewickley and the Magee Rec Center Kitchen in Pittsburgh. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify to help cover the costs of future membership, council activities, and uniform pieces.
