Graduation - The Gunston School
DISEMBARKATION: (New Start Time)
Friday, May 15th @ 1:00 p.m.
In coordination with senior exam schedules, the Brick Ceremony and Disembarkation will now begin later:
1 p.m. Senior Procession
1:15 p.m. Bricklaying Ceremony
1:45 p.m. Senior Procession to the Wharf
2:30 p.m. Boats Depart (Gunston Buses Depart School)
2:35 p.m. Boats arrive at Centreville Wharf

GRADUATION TICKETS (New for 2026)
This year we have instituted a new ticketing policy to ensure that all families have 10 guaranteed seats under the tent. There will still be plenty of standing room for those who have more than 10 guests they wish to invite!
Parents

by May 5th
List the number of tickets that you need.
Request any accessible parking needs.
Tickets
and accessible parking permits will be available for pick up during the Brick Laying Ceremony on May 15th (by the Middleton portico).
GRADUATION ACCESSIBLE PARKING
For guests with mobility challenges, drop off and pick up will be available at the Graduation tent. We will have a limited number of accessible parking spaces. If your guests use a wheelchair or a walker and need nearby parking, please include that information in the
Graduation Ticket Form
. ONLY GUESTS WITH AN ACCESSIBILITY PARKING PERMIT will be able to park close to the tent.
GRADUATION DRESS CODE
We also wanted you to keep in mind the dress code for seniors for June 6th graduation:
Blue Blazer
Light Blue Dress Shirt
Gunston Tie (let us know if you want to reserve one from the school store)
Pressed, Ivory/Light Khakis
Dark Brown Shoes
Dark Brown Belt
OR
Long White Dress/Pantsuit approved by Mrs. Grabis
Dress must measure 2 inches from the ground without shoes on
Dress must NOT be strapless or backless
White Sandals or White Dress Shoes
BOUQUETS AND BOUTONNIERES
Following Gunston tradition, students will either carry flower bouquets or wear boutonnières. Gunston is working with local natural organic flower farmer (and Gunston tutor) Lisa Biggar from
Galena Blooms Farms
.
For those wearing red rose boutonnières, you do not need to sign up for anything, and $15 will be charged to your Student Account.
For those who want bouquets, please review the
Bouquet Descriptions
to help make your decision and select the type of bouquet and flower in this
bouquet order form
.
For those carrying bouquets, $45 will be charged to your Student Account.
We need all responses by May 5th.
