Plan Your Danbury Museum Visit
Welcome!
The Danbury Museum is located at 43 Main Street in Danbury, Connecticut.
Our campus has 4 historic buildings, an exhibit hall with a research library/archive, and we represent more than 300 years of history.
We offer guided tours of the 4 historic buildings on our campus and of the Charles Ives Birthplace. Tours are booked via
Eventbrite
. Advance registration is appreciated, as tours are kept intentionally small. Walk-ins are welcome and will be accommodated as long as there is space available.  Additionally,  we facilitate onsite staff-assisted research appointments Wednesday through Saturday, and those appointments must be
booked in advance
as well.
Please note that the main level of the John & Mary Rider House is wheelchair accessible. The Marian Anderson Studio is also wheelchair accessible as are the research library/archive and exhibit space in Huntington Hall.

Danbury Railway Museum
The Danbury Railway Museum is located in the heart of Danbury, Connecticut, at 120 White Street. Our fully restored train station, built in 1903, houses a collection of historically significant artifacts and a research library covering railroading’s rich heritage in New England and the northeast United States. The Museum and rail yard are open year-round. Family-friendly rides are offered every weekend between April and October (and in December), and special event trains are operated for Easter, Autumn, and Christmas.

Richter Association for the Arts
The Association's mission, as explained by Irving Mahl, first president of Richter Arts, is to promote cultural affairs "in the broadest possible definition to include the visual arts, music, drama, handicrafts, dance, poetry, creative writing and all other activities that enrich the lives of civilized people."
The Stanley Richter House is located on the Richter Park Golf Course at 100 Aunt Hack Road in Danbury.
