Meal Plan Options - Fall 2026
All meal plans (except Sapphire) have a combination of dining dollars, meal swipes and guest swipes. Dining dollars are accepted at all dining facilities, including Dunkin' and Starbucks while meal swipes are accepted at East Campus Commons dining (ECC), Flynn Dining Commons and the Bear's Den. Meal plans are mandatory for resident students (except Great Hill Apartment residents).

Meal Plans for Resident and Commuter Students
Column One has the titles of the meal plans. Column two has the number of meal swipes, three has the amount of dining dollars, and four has the cost per semester.

Flex Dollars
Flex Dollars can be purchased separately throughout the year and will carry over from year to year until student graduates or withdraws from BSU.
Flex Dollars can be purchased online
and in Student Accounts. In addition to dining, Flex Dollars can be used for purchases in the Bookstore, vending machines, copiers, Mail Services, and off-campus merchants.

meal plan refund policy

Meal swipes expire at the end of each semester and are non-transferable.
Meal swipes are intended for the meal plan owner. Dining dollars and guest swipes may be used to treat your guests.
Dining dollars are intended to be used throughout the semester and not for bulk purchases at the end of the semester.
Dining dollars will carry forward from fall to spring semester. All dining dollars expire at the end of the spring semester and do not carry over to the following fall semester.
The deadline to change your meal plan selection is
Sept. 14, 2026
for the fall semester and
must be submitted online
. Only one change is allowed per semester.
BSU reserves the right to cancel the meal plan for a student who misuses the meal plan. In addition, the student may be sent to the Office of Community Standards. Please check the Student Code of Conduct at
