Welcome to the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
North Bengal International University
About IQAC
Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at North Bengal International University (NBIU) was established in 26 February, 2021. It was established as the representation of the prevalent arrangement of the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh to enhance the quality of higher education in the country. Quality assurance has become a very essential issue for higher education to be closely aligned with the needs of the community and the needs of the graduates to explore their potential in terms of employability and lifelong learning. The Government of Bangladesh is trying to establish Institutional Quality Assurance Cells (IQAC) at the university level for appreciating the changing need of quality in higher education. The NBIU-IQAC desire to help to create a philosophy of quality in both academic and administrative support operations and to support the university accomplish its vision to become and remain a center of excellence in higher education in Bangladesh and abroad. We intend to use the IQAC as the "go-to place" for all quality-related resources and information at NBIU.
Vision
To become a world-recognized Center of Quality Assurance by attaining excellence in teaching, learning, research and administration. It will also help North Bengal International University to be a top-ranking university in the world.
Mission
To ensure the highest quality by developing and creating a sustainable academic environment favorable to quality teaching, learning and research through innovation and regular monitoring of those activities according to the indicators of quality assurance, active engagement of stakeholders and promotion of cooperation and collaboration both nationally and internationally.
Overall Objective
To foster a quality improvement culture within the university by ensuring that the Program Offering Entity (POE) adopts and implements Quality Assurance (QA) standards and benchmarked quality criteria.
Particular Objectives of the IQAC
To analyze the present policies and procedures of NBIU.
To assess and strengthening capacity for effective governance, teaching-learning, research and community services.
To institutionalize quality assurance systems within the university.
To formulate the university to meet the external quality assurance assessment and accreditation requirements.
To monitor and evaluate Self-Assessment (SA) practices and processes through an audit, survey and other instruments and
To co-ordinate all QA-related activities at the national level; and collaborate with UGC and other external QA agencies.
The aspects of IQAC
To underpin the university in achieving its vision through providing quality higher education;
To serve as a central quality assurance cell for the university and examine existing standards and procedures;
To assist in developing new standards, policies, systems, processes, and procedures by adapting and incorporating best practices;
To closely monitor and evaluate university practices and processes through audit, survey and other instruments as deemed fit to ensure generally acceptable standards of quality.
