Do you like to read? Do you abhor picking up anything that resembles a book that's not mandated by your teacher? Do you know what the words abhor and mandated mean? No matter what your answer, Book Club is the club for you. Flexible, student-led, Book Club meets once a month. Participants read provocative material — novels, graphic novels, essays, short stories, poetry — and discuss them outside of the classroom. Discussions will be loud, if not heated, and strong opinions are encouraged. Change your world one book at a time.
Students learn how to try and spot the successes and failures of businesses before they happen and thereby can change the world. Students meet every week and hear presentations from different professionals in their field. On occasion, students will present on their own thoughts on investments and trends in the business world.
Love sports but don't necessarily have the athletic prowess to be an NBA Star? BOS$ is geared towards students who are interested in or passionate about working in any area related to the field of sports. This includes sports management, sports law, sports merchandise, sports marketing, etc. The club brings in professionals from various sports business roles to speak about their background and their job, to advise students on how to get into the field, and to offer networking opportunities. Just last year, BOS$ welcomed a sports agent, a statistical analyst for the NBA, and a sports attorney.
This club allows students with interests in technology, coding, and data science to utilize their talents outside of the classroom. We write code, solve challenging problems, and develop web applications.
The Constructive Engagement Club will provide students with the opportunity to learn, develop, and practice critical skills, including 1) how to listen respectfully (especially when we hear ideas that differ from our own); 2) how to engage in a constructive discussion on difficult and emotional subjects, and 3) ultimately, how to relate to people with whom we have substantial disagreements. The club will feature guest speakers who can educate us on how to disagree respectfully and productively and share relevant experiences, as well as live simulations in which we are forced to discuss and debate difficult topics in an appropriate, thoughtful, and constructive manner.
Have you ever wanted to build something cool like a robotic arm, but never known how? Are you the kid who would love to build stuff in his/her spare time, but never had a community to rely on to help you? Look no further than Ramaz’s Engineering Club. No matter whether you want to learn about what a transistor is, want help in designing or documenting your project in CAD, or want to work on a project with your peers, the club can help you.
We can work with RFID, robots, LEDs, servos, DC motors, or any other relatively small projects/components. Engineering is becoming one of the largest fields in the 21st century. There are new groundbreaking inventions being created daily by innovators and visionaries. Maybe you have what it takes to build the next big thing—so come hone your skills here. No prior engineering experience is necessary.

The entrepreneurship club aims to provide aspiring entrepreneurs a conduit to pursue their passion by providing lectures and meaningful experiences from real life entrepreneurs.
The Environmental Club is dedicated to creating awareness of the importance of sustaining our beautiful natural world and saving our planet from ourselves. We do this in a way that is consistent with the highest standards of Jewish tradition. If the environment is not protected, ultimately, none of the other clubs will matter! Add your voice and energy, and come and join us to Grab Green by the Horns!
Feminist Club welcomes all students who identify as feminists (or future feminists) to engage in dialogue regarding the range of theories, political and social movements and ideologies surrounding feminism. Students will explore the history of the feminist movement and explore how, and if, the movement has evolved to fit today’s multicultural world. Feminist Club looks to create a safe space to all students who hope to learn more about feminism and dialogue with their peers.
You don't have to be French to appreciate the French influence on the finer things in life. Come join the French Culture Club, where we routinely entertain our members with events with French flair! We satisfy all the senses with film, fashion, literature, art, and of course, French cuisine fantastique. Our meetings are held once a month, with ample notice, and if you have joie de vivre, then you should sign up!
Our meetings will occur once a month and we will discuss literature, art, history, film, cuisine, and much more! We will also have guest speakers. All are welcome!
Machine Learning will be a club run similar to a class. You will cover probability theory and statistical learning. To be in this club, you must have a desire to learn advanced math. This club will only be open to Juniors and Seniors.
The mental health club focuses on discussions and presentations that highlight important mental health issues for adolescents to thrive. We have honest discussions of the most important issues that impact our emotional well-being and identity as human beings.
Exciting developments are happening all the time in physics, and there is often not enough time to discuss them in physics class. This club offers the opportunity to examine such contemporary developments, as well as other topics in physics that may not be covered in class. From quantum mechanics to string theory, from condensed matter to plasmas, we will use newspaper and magazine articles, as well as original research articles to study some of these topics. Students may, in addition, propose other areas of interest to them.
The Ramaz Pre-med club (raMEDz) meets to discuss current issues in medicine and related topics. Approximately once a month, a guest speaker is brought in to discuss his/her profession in the medical field and to answer questions of students who are contemplating pursuing a career in medicine. The club is open to all students interested in medicine.
The Ramaz Politics and Foreign Policy Club is for budding young politicians and policy wonks. We explore different current issues with an emphasis on contemporary American politics. But we don’t stop there: we also juxtapose different countries’ foreign policy with how they relate to domestic issues. We also will explore different fields and how they affect and are shaped by politics. Political discussion and guest speakers with expertise in specific fields will help us understand the issues at hand better.
Real Estate Club educates all members about different aspects of real estate while discussing the advantages and disadvantages of each type. The Real Estate Club is very fortunate to have heard from prodigious guest speakers and has plans to hear from many more in the near future!
Our student-run Ramaz Sports Network (RSN) covers all Ramaz sports games. Each game is live-streamed and produced and announced by our students. RSN allows all students to be involved with Ramaz athletics.
We write, host, film, edit, and produce a weekly news show about the happenings at Ramaz. We also create videos for other clubs, assemblies, and special events at school. Whichever part of the video making process you would be interested in, there is a place for you at Ramaz Week in Review.
