Security
Adelaide University Security Services are here to help keep our community safe, day and night, across all campuses.
Our trained security officers are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They patrol regularly, respond to emergencies, and provide first aid when needed. Whether you’re studying late, attending an event, or just passing through, you can count on them to be nearby and ready to assist.
In an emergency
Call
000
for Police, Fire or Ambulance
Call
131 444
for non-emergency police assistance
Then call Adelaide University Security Services on
8302 5444
or
1800 500 911
(free call, 24/7).
Security phones are also located across campuses, marked with blue and white signage. Just press the button to connect directly to Security.
What Security can help with
Lost property: If someone’s handed in what you’ve lost, it may be at the Security Office. Visit or call to check.
Campus patrols: Officers patrol all campuses 24/7.
After-hours access: Locked out? Security may be able to unlock doors remotely.
Emergency response: If something goes wrong, call Security. We’ll respond as quickly as possible.
What Security doesn’t do
Issue access cards: Visit the staff or student portal for information
Manage parking: Visit the Parking page for permits and information.
Investigate criminal activity: If you witness a crime (e.g. theft or assault), call 000 first, then report it to Adelaide University Security Services.
Handle maintenance issues: Use the service request form to report anything that needs fixing.
