Chemistry
The Field of chemistry plays a pivotal role in the era of development. The undergraduate program in chemistry at GNA University mainly focuses on the learning of fundamentals in all areas of chemistry concepts with the scientific happenings and deep-rooted concepts of chemistry.
B.Sc. program in Chemistry spans three-years that provides students with the most dynamic and flexible academic experience. The program is strategically designed to provide students with the most comprehensive understanding of research and scientific development.
At GU curriculum is specially designed to impart the knowledge of chemistry in both theoretical and practical forms. The program aims to broaden the student’s academic horizons through industrial visits, workshops, seminars, expert talks, which help in enhancing career competencies in students.
Program Outcomes:
An ability to apply knowledge of basic sciences in chemical field.
An ability to apply discipline specific knowledge to solve core and/or applied chemistry.
Use current techniques, skills, and tools necessary to carry out various chemical reactions in Labs.
Recognize the social and ethical responsibilities of a professional working in the discipline.
Analyze problem and identify and define the computing requirements appropriate to its solution.
Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional practice.
Understand the impact of the professional solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
Follow professional chemical academician by applying contextual knowledge to assess societal and legal issues.
Communicate effectively on complex activities and with the society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team.
Work as teams to research on new chemical reactions and apply the technologies in various fields of dyes, starch, paper recycling, and pharmaceutical industry.
