Halls of Fame
The Museum of the Gulf Coast houses three galleries with notable personalities of the region.
The Music Hall of Fame
has more than 80 musicians representing a wide array of genres, and includes Janis Joplin. The
Sports Legends Gallery and
Notable People Gallery contain many more
who have achieved national and/or international recognition in a professional endeavor.

Pompeiian Villa
The Pompeiian Villa is currently closed for renovations. Call 409-982-7000 for further questions.
This historic house was built in 1900 for Isaac Ellwood of DeKalb, Illinois. It was designed to be reminiscent of villas in ancient Pompeii, a Roman city destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
