The Almedia Youth Project - City of London Academy Islington City of London Academy Islington News The Almedia Youth Project Published: Fri 20 March 2026 The Almeida’s youth project, “Unlocked” brought together schools from around Islington with professional creative producers to create what can only be billed as electric new theatre. Not only did students devise their own work but they rehearsed and perfected it along with lights and sound technicians culminating in a performance on a professional stage in front of a live audience. The creativity on display from young members of our student body was truly a sight to behold. Even in the face of nerves and excitement in equal measure, COLAI students took to the boards of the Almeida and conducted themselves with great aplomb.
