I am proud to join the family of Pharos University in Alexandria, an ancient university that is truly one of the important pillars of education in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and I was happy to be chosen as Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, to have the honor of working among an elite group of academics specialized in the various fields of media, which truly reflect and keep pace with developments. Accelerating technology in the field of media work, to graduate students capable of serious and distinguished competition in the labor market, calling on God Almighty to grant us all success in shouldering this responsibility in order to achieve the university’s goals of excellence and commitment to media education standards locally and internationally.

The Faculty of Mass Communication is considered one of the leading colleges in media education. It includes a distinguished elite of faculty members. It considers quality standards in the educational process and is interested in media training in various media specializations, keeping pace with modern technological developments in the field of media, and uses the latest learning strategies such as: active learning, interactive learning, e-learning, cooperative learning, and practical training. The existence of cooperation protocols with the largest media institutions.
Hosting a group of senior media professionals in media institutions to train students and link the theoretical aspect with the practical aspect. The faculty includes several radio and television studios, which were designed in a scientific manner that suits the technical needs of radio and television production, a press laboratory, a news editing room, and a laboratory to produce publications and public relations leaflets.

Fill out the admission form directly by coming to the Admissions and Registration Department at the university headquarters.
Write the e-mail clearly in the student’s name, and have it active, as it is the most important means of communication, and it must be followed up daily.

Submit the following papers (original documents, not copies) when filling out the admission form at the university headquarters, which are:
● An original high school diploma or transcript approved by the educational administration
● Original birth certificate
● 6 personal photos
● A copy of the student’s card and his guardian
● Form 2 for male students (extracted from the security directorate to which the student belongs, his governorate).On the same day of submitting the papers, the student goes to the Portfolio Delivery Office to receive a portfolio with the semester expenses and pay it at the Commercial International Bank (CIB) branch located within the university.
The student and his guardian go to the interview committee in the payment portfolio and submit a personal photo of the student (4 x 6) to schedule the interview on the same day of paying the first semester fees or the day after. After conducting the personal interview, the student receives a temporary entry permit until final acceptance is issued by the Ministry.
The student goes to the university’s medical point with a temporary entry permit to conduct a medical examination.
Q: What is the minimum requirement for admission to the Faculty of Mass Communication – Pharos University?
A:
The minimum admission limit is determined annually in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Council of Private and Private Universities.
Q: When will I know the result of my acceptance to the faculty?
A:
After the end of the coordination period, the names of accepted students are announced through the university’s official website on the Internet and on the university’s official page on the social networking site (Facebook), and an email is sent to the student’s personal email. The student is not considered enrolled in the university until after paying the tuition fees and obtaining the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education.

A:
There is no priority in admission based on the application date as long as it is within the specified period. Priority is given to the highest total and completion of the required documents.
Q: What is the duration of study at the Faculty of Mass Communication- Pharos University? What is the number of courses per semester?
A:
According to the credit hour system, the duration of study is 4 years, with two semesters for each year (spring semester and fall semester). There is also a summer semester for improvement or completion of any incomplete courses. Each semester has a set of courses based on the study plan for each semester, and the number of courses ranges from 6 to 8 courses per semester.
Q: How do I register for the courses I teach?
A:
The courses of the first semester are registered through the university administration, then an academic advisor is identified for each group of students after joining the college, and the student registers the courses for them according to the study plan for each student by the student’s academic advisor, who in turn accepts or amends the registration. Starting from the semester in which the student is enrolled.

A:
Arabic is the language of study.

Radio and Television students practice their training in radio and television studios equipped with high-tech cameras, editing units and other advanced equipment.
Journalism students train in the production of publications room under the supervision of a team of senior journalists inside the faculty’s editorial main room, in addition to practical training of website production.
Public Relations and Marketing Communications students are trained to produce various media productions to serve the institutions within the Media and Marketing Production Center at the faculty of Mass communication in addition to training at Public Relations departments at different organizations and advertising agencies.
A protocol on field training was signed between the faculty of Mass Communication at Pharos University and Al-Ahram Institution, Al-Masry Elyoum, Radio and Television Institution at Maspero, several advertising agencies, and public relations departments.

Television Studio Control Room
Radio and Television students practice their training in radio and television studios equipped with high-tech cameras, editing units and other advanced equipment.
Journalism students train in the production of publications room under the supervision of a team of senior journalists inside the faculty’s editorial main room, in addition to practical training of website production.
Public Relations and Marketing Communications students are trained to produce various media productions to serve the institutions within the Media and Marketing Production Center at the faculty of Mass communication in addition to training at Public Relations departments at different organizations and advertising agencies.
A protocol on field training was signed between the faculty of Mass Communication at Pharos University and Al-Ahram Institution, Al-Masry Elyoum, Radio and Television Institution at Maspero, several advertising agencies, and public relations departments.
