Legal Division
The Legal Division provides legal support to all DFPI programs, in addition to a wide range of other responsibilities critical to the mission of DFPI.
The Legal Division attorneys serve as in-house legal counsel for all DFPI programs. Additionally, this division is responsible for analyzing legislation, promulgating regulations, responding to requests for interpretive opinions from licensees and the public, and overseeing the regulation of the offer and sale of securities and franchises in California.
