Technology Value Creation
UNIST has
established and operates a full-cycle technology value creation system encompassing everything from the creation of intellectual property rights to technology transfer and commercialization,
ensuring that Research Findings lead to innovation across industry and society. By identifying promising technologies in cutting-edge and future innovation Field and securing them as intellectual property, we facilitate strategic technology diffusion and establish growth engines based on new technologies, thereby contributing to the creation of a regional innovation ecosystem.
Intellectual property rights
We provide support for the creation of intellectual property rights to systematically protect and utilize Research Findings generated by researchers. By analyzing the characteristics and potential applications of technology based on Research Findings, we support patent applications and Tuition Fee Payment, thereby aiming to secure rights to Research Findings and enhance the value of the technology.
Technology transfer
We operate a technology transfer support program to ensure that intellectual property held by the university can be utilized in the industrial field. We analyze technology maturity and market demand to facilitate technology matching with companies, and support the industrial expansion and utilization of university technology through licensing agreements and other means.
commercialization
We support commercialization linkages to ensure that Research Findings lead to sustainable results even after technology transfer. By establishing commercialization strategies that consider the technology's market entry potential and facilitating follow-up connections, we contribute to the creation of new technology-based businesses and corporate growth.
Startup support
UNIST
operates a systematic startup support program to help the creative ideas and technologies possessed by students and faculty members lead to actual businesses
.
We provide various entrepreneurial opportunities to enable members of the university community to establish small and medium-sized enterprises and venture companies based on the knowledge and skills accumulated during Research and learning processes, and to generate sustainable innovative results.
Students Startups
UNIST enables undergraduate, master's, and doctoral Students to establish companies while enrolled or on Academic Leave of Absence .
We provide a Students startup support program.
Students can take on the challenge of starting a business based on the ideas and skills accumulated during their studies, and
UNIST provides institutional support to ensure that these startup activities can be carried out stably.
