National Loving Day is the annual celebration (June 12) of the anniversary of the 1967 United States Supreme Court Decision Loving v. Virginia which struck down all anti-miscegenation laws remaining in sixteen U.S. states. Interracial relationships and marriage were legalized in the United States in a unanimous decision. The justices found that Virginia’s interracial marriage law violated the 14th Amendment to the Constitution.
