Basketball - Woodlawn School Skip to content A Fan Favorite Basketball DISCOVER THE DIFFERENCE When a Woodlawn basketball team steps onto the court, the gym reverberates with energy and enthusiasm. The thrill of basketball’s fast-paced gameplay captivates everyone, including the Woodlawn community. This year, we’ve elevated our game with a brand-new hardwood maple floor, mirroring the professional courts seen in the NBA. Basketball at Woodlawn not only hones coordination and endurance but also emphasizes the power of teamwork on and off the court. The Boys and Girls Varsity teams embarked on their basketball journey as freelance teams in 2009, made their mark in the Mid-State Christian conference in 2010, and transitioned to the competitive realm of the NCISAA Southern Piedmont Athletic Association (SPAA) in 2014. With games scheduled in the winter season, both the girls’ and boys’ teams bring their A-game to the court. Looking ahead to the 2023-2024 season, we are thrilled to introduce Middle School and Junior Varsity teams for both genders, setting the stage for even more exciting basketball moments at Woodlawn.
