SWPS is a lively and welcoming community where every student is given the freedom to embrace their individuality, and where curiosity, ambition, and generosity thrive.
We are delighted that you are considering SWPS for the next stage of your child’s education and we would be delighted to answer any questions you may have.
With such a breadth of choice in the local area, finding the best fit for your child’s educational needs is key. All our students are strongly encouraged to pursue their individual talents and ambitions and we place great importance on championing the individual. SWPS students don’t subscribe to a particular mould: we are proud to be home to campaigners, scholars, athletes and artists.
However, our students are characterised by a certain something: they all possess academic potential and are defined by their willingness to give things a go. We want our students to be the best of themselves, to try new things, develop and express their own opinions and stand up for what they believe in. When you visit the school, we hope you get the sense of that spirit, in a warm, friendly environment underpinned by values that matter: curiosity, ambition and generosity.
Students joining in Year 7 and Year 12 in 2026 will become part of our first mixed-gender Pioneer cohort. As Pioneers, they will help shape new clubs, initiatives, leadership opportunities and traditions as SWPS becomes fully co‑educational by 2030. This is a unique moment to be part of our school’s history and define the future alongside us.
