Staff and Visitors
New staff
If you are relocating to Newcastle to work at the University, we understand that you might need a temporary base before you’re able to find something more permanent. Our short-term accommodation options for new staff will provide you with a comfortable and convenient place to stay. Our visitor rooms offer a glimpse into the city and its surroundings, allowing you to get familiar with the area before making a more permanent arrangement. We offer temporary accommodation for a minimum of 14 nights and a maximum of 1 year.
Please note that some of the residences are located alongside our student accommodation and may be subject to more noise.
Visitors
For those visiting the University for work or study, we offer temporary accommodation for a minimum of 14 nights.
Conference Accommodation
If you're joining us for a conference or summer school during the summer months, we offer campus accommodation as well as catered packages for your stay. You can
enquire about conference accommodation
with our team.

Your questions answered
How can I access the Newcastle University staff and visitor WiFi?
By logging into the University network, employees at Newcastle University can access the internet. Guest WiFi is available through the Sky sign-up page. It is important to note that some websites and services may be inaccessible.
Can children stay in the Newcastle University guest accommodation?
Children are not permitted in our staff or visitor accommodations, and all visitors must be over 18. If you are under 18 or have children, we recommend that guests look for family-friendly accommodation in the private sector.
Can I apply to stay in the visitor's accommodation if I am a student?
We do consider student requests for short-term stays (14 nights minimum) on a first-come, first-served basis. It is important to note that University staff are given priority.
