Close Search As of July 2021: While the governor has updated the health protocols and recommendations for Washington State, kids under 12 – our target audience! – are not being vaccinated. In addition, the museum suffered many financial impacts during closure, and the cost of reopening is significant. As we work to address those factors, we are sad to report that the museum remains closed. But we cannot wait to welcome you back, and we are targeting the first quarter of 2022 for reopening! We look forward to a time when we can make it safe to play. We are so grateful for the support of our members, donors and visitors. We foster the joy of discovery and ignite curiosity through play! We make space for fun, creative, and hands-on exploration of the world around us. We encourage kids and families to embrace active, lifelong learning. Our hands-on exhibits and daily programs are designed for kids from birth to age 8. The environment is open-ended, informal, and fun. All children – and their grown-ups – are welcome! Kids of all ages and abilities are encouraged to learn and play together.
