Peterson School is a member of
Escuela Promesa
, an educational program promoting environmental culture in schools across Mexico.
Once a month, representatives of
Escuela Promesa
visit each of the Peterson Schools' campuses to collect recyclables deposited by students, staff and parents.
Each month the organization presents a report to the schools about the volume and environmental impact of recyclables collected at each campus.
Escuela Promesa
also plays an educational role at the Peterson Schools. It helps train the schools' environmental committees made up of 6th-grade students and parents from the Values Committees.
