The Institute has 20 well-designed hostels capable of accommodating about 1400 students. The classrooms, computer center, students canteen and all other facilities are within walking distance of the hostel. All the hostel rooms have been provided with a LAN and WIFI connection to cater to the computing needs of the students. The students are provided rooms on a single or sharing basis.
Washing machines, water dispensers and geysers are provided in all hostels. Most of the hostels have air conditioning facilities as well. Various sports facilities which include a table tennis room, a badminton court, two basketball courts, a football field, volley ball court and a well-equipped gymnasium are available in the hostel premises. There are various recreational facilities available in the common rooms and music room.
Three canteens cater to the food requirements of the students apart from doubling up as a night canteen for the nocturnal souls. There are different restaurants and kiosks available on the campus for some culinary retreats.
Hostel life is an integral part of the IIMK culture. Staying together, by sharing two years of their lives, the bond that is formed in these hallowed portals stays for life. Hostel bonding and other forms of interactions add to the vibrancy of the already colorful two years that one spends at IIMK. Be it late-night assignments, projects, studying for tests, or celebrating, the hostels never sleep.
