IIMK follows the Government of India reservation policy applicable to Central Educational
Institutions (CEIs) for admission to the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management.
The minimum eligibility criteria adopted by IIMK in the admissions for the Executive Post
Graduate Programme in Management is given below

View Admission Policy
A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 50%
aggregate mark or equivalent CGPA.
In case of an absence of a duly recognized bachelor's degree, a candidate with
a minimum aggregate percentage of 50 in CA/ICWA/CS can apply for the
programme.
The degree obtained from a foreign University subject to producing the
equivalency certificate from any
Govt. of India approved assessment agency, or an Indian University approved
by UGC along with the proof of aggregate percentage of marks obtained in the
programme completed.
3 Full Years (1095 days) of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience after successful completion of graduation as on date of closure of application window in each phase.

The Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP-IL) at IIM Kozhikode is a two-year programme designed for working professionals, structured across seven quarters and three distinct modules. The programme curriculum comprises of core & elective courses, in-campus modules and international immersion. EPGP provides the participants
with skills to effectively lead their organizations to the next level in the knowledge economy through an innovative curriculum.
Programme Structure
The programme is divided into two years with a compulsory core curriculum in the first year and four compulsory courses and elective courses in the second year, with an optional International Immersion Component.
The curriculum of the first year is designed to provide the participants with a thorough grounding in the prerequisite courses and the functional areas of Management. The first-year courses in the core curriculum are common to all the participants, and, considering the level of rigour with which it is taught, will enable the participants to further their career into any stream of Management. The first year also lays the foundations for the moulding of the unique IIMK brand; where, a concern for the wider society and an abiding value system are firmly imprinted. The second-year courses are elective offerings in various academic areas.
Three mandatory In-Campus Modules of six days each
Live interactive learning (IL) sessions
Four quarters covering 38 credits | 380 hours in the first year
Three quarters with elective courses (28 credits | 280 hours) in the second year offered via a real-time elective bidding process
Optional International Immersion for one week at a Premium University abroad
The three in-campus modules are conducted at the IIMK campus.
These modules provide the participants with an orientation towards case-based learning, foundation to analytical thinking and integrate the learning culture of IIMK apart from the discussions on contemporary issues in management practices and trends in the industry and business.

The Interactive Learning (IL) component forms the core of EPGP. Instructors from IIMK, facilitate learning through two-way audio/video synchronous telecommunication mode from the Studio based at IIMK Campus. Classes are scheduled on weekdays in the evening and on weekends. This Programme is currently offered through the technology platform of TimesPro. The technology allows the instructor to effectively communicate ideas and interact with the participants attending live sessions from various locations across the country.
Nationwide Classroom-Based Interactive Learning – Live sessions conducted across multiple centres all over India.
Diverse Teaching Methods – Instructors choose from multiple pedagogical tools including lectures, case studies, behavioural and computer-based simulations, projects, and interactive discussions.
Engaging Assessments – Includes live quizzes, class presentations, role plays, examinations (both conventional and technology-based), and group discussions.
The EPGP-IL programme includes an optional international immersion component, which is a non-credit and non-compulsory component. The immersion component is conducted after the third in-campus module. The selected participants will attend a one week immersion module at a premium University abroad. The expenses related to the the international immersion component is not included in the EPGP-IL programme fee.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the title of the certificate awarded after successful completion of the programme?
Participants of this programme are awarded ‘Master of Business Administration’ after successful completion of the programme.
Whether the programme has assessment/evaluation during the course?
Yes. There will be various kind of assessments for each course including end-term examination (after each quarter), quizzes, assignments, projects, etc.
How many in campus immersions are there for the programme?
There are three mandatory in-campus immersions in the programme. The first in-campus module takes place at the beginning of the programme, while the second and third immersions are scheduled at the end of the first and second years, respectively.
What are the different options available for attending the sessions at classroom centres?
Participants can select either the weekend session format or the combined session format during the application stage. Further details are provided below for better understanding.

I). Weekend Session:
Saturday: 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM
Sunday: 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM
II) Combined Session:
Thursday: 7.00 PM to 9.45 PM
Saturday: 7.00 PM to 9.45 PM
Sunday: 3.30 PM to 9.30 PM
Second Year
The Sessions will be conducted on weekdays (7:00 PM to 9:45 PM), Saturdays & Sundays, depending on the electives allocated.
Will I get alumni status of IIM Kozhikode after completing the programme Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management?
Yes. Upon successful completion of the programme, participant will be an alumnus of IIM Kozhikode.
Whether this programme can be attended on from home/office?
Participant can attend the live classes online only from designated classroom centres across India managed by M/s Times Pro. Please refer the following URL to know the nearby classroom centre.

Which are the qualifying examinations for the EPGP programme?
Any one of the following:
a) EMAT conducted by IIMK.

d) GMAT (Not older than 3 years as on 17/05/2026)
When and where the IIMK EMAT test and Personal Interview process is conducted?
The IIMK EMAT test and the Personal Interview process are conducted online.
How much extra time is given to a PwD candidate in EMAT?
PwD candidates appearing for EMAT will be given a compensatory time extension of 20 minutes per hour of the examination.
Is educational loan facility available for the programme?
Participants themselves have to arrange for educational loans. Educational loan can be availed from any banks. If any supporting documents are requested, the Institute will provide the same subject to the rules and regulations.
What level and type of work experience do I need to have?
Working professionals with a minimum of 3 years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/
professional experience after graduation could apply for the programme. Candidates who are
completing 36 months’ (1095 days) work experience as on the last date to submit the
application online in each phase is eligible to apply. The programme is targeted at working
executives meeting the specified criteria from a range of functional / technical domains
across a diverse range of organizations / industries.
What documents are accepted as proof of work experience while applying for the
programme?
An Experience Certificate issued by the employer clearly mentioning the duration of
employment, or a Joining Letter issued by the employer along with the last month’s payslip,
provided that these documents together establish total duration of work experience, will be
accepted as proof of work experience.
I am an entrepreneur/self-employed person. What all documents need to be uploaded
while applying for the programme?
Regarding self-employment/entrepreneurship, the following relevant documents should be
submitted to substantiate the full-time nature of the work.<
• Registered partnership deed
• MCA/RoC firm registration certificate
• GST registration certificate of the firm
• Audited financial statements of the firm (for at least two consecutive financial
years)
• DIPP Certificate of Recognition
At least one of the submitted documents must clearly indicate both the firm’s name and the
candidate’s name as Promoter/Director. The other document must mention either the firm’s
name or its registration number.
Can I upload provisional certificate as proof of educational qualification?
No. Applicants are required to upload clear, scanned copies of their original educational
certificates at the time of application. Provisional certificates are not accepted as valid proof
of educational qualification.
What is the reference letter from current employer referring to the mandatory
documents?
A letter from the organization stating that the applicant is presently working, along with
Name. Designation and tenure of employment with company etc.
Whether the candidates holding diploma after 10+2 is considered for admission?
Diploma is not considered as eligibility criteria for admission to the Executive Post Graduate
Programme. Please refer to the admission policy for more details.
How should I calculate the aggregate percentage of the marks obtained?
Aggregate percentage of mark/CGPA is calculated as the average of the percentage of
mark/GPA obtained in each year/semester. If the maximum possible mark in the
year/semester is varying, percentage to be calculated after converting the mark obtained to a
common scale.
I have 50% aggregate mark in Post-Graduation, but do not have 50% aggregate mark
in graduation. Can I apply for the programme?
No. Post-Graduation marks is not considered as an eligibility criteria for admission to the
EPGP programmes of IIMK. Please refer to the admission policy for more details.
I have 50% aggregate mark in graduation & having total work experience 3 years. But
some of my experience is prior to completion of graduation. Can I apply for this
programme?
No. Candidate must have possessed 3 years work experience after successful completion of
graduation with 50% mark as on the last date for submitting the online application in each
phase of admission. Any work experience obtained prior to graduation is not considered for
calculating the total work experience to apply for the EPGP programme of IIM Kozhikode.
Whether I am eligible to apply for PhD after successful completion of the programme?
The eligibility norms for PhD programmes are decided by respective universities and may
vary. Candidates who have completed the EPGP programme for working executives and have
been awarded the MBA degree are eligible to apply for the DPM & DPM (Practice track) in
IIMK. Please refer to DPM page in IIMK website for more details.
Is there any placement assistance to the students after the successful completion of the
programme?
EPGP programmes are meant for those executives in their middle/senior management
positions wishing to augment their management expertise and leadership abilities. The
programme is supposed to help working executives in their current work roles and career
progression paths. Hence a formal placement assistance scheme is not part of this
programme.
I am unable to get reference letter from my employer. What are the alternative
documents that I can submit?
You can provide us the self-attested copy of company offer letter/ Joining Report along with
latest 3 months’ salary slip from present employer.
I have 15 years of experience after graduation. Do I need to submit the self-attested
copies /Produce original certificate for whole 15 year or only proof for last 3 years’
experience is sufficient?
Candidates should produce all the experience certificates justifying the total experience
mentioned in the application form. The details are required to be validated as the profile of
the participant may be published on the IIMK website.
Is there any fee for the application?
Yes, a non-refundable amount of ₹2000/- is required.
Whether IIMK provides accommodation during the in-campus modules.
No. Participants are required to make their own arrangements for accommodation and travel during the in-campus modules.
Can I pursue the Executive Post Graduate Programmes from outside India?
No. Presently the Executive Post Graduate Programmes are offered through the designated
class room centers in India only.
If I choose not to join the program before the class commencement, will I get the offer
acceptance fee/Program fee back?
The refund for the applicants withdrawing from the programme during the admission
process will be done after deducting processing charges as per GOI order: F.No.21-
166/2007-TS. II dated 18.05.2007 which encloses order No. 14-4/2007-U.3(A), along with
other applicable deductions.
Whether it is possible to change the session opted during application after the
enrolment?
No. Requests for a change of session after enrolment are generally not permitted. However,
in exceptional circumstances—such as a change in professional role or other genuine
emergencies—such requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval
by the competent authority.
