Your feedback is shaping your education
"He
[the lecturer]
makes a massive effort to engage with everyone, whilst also making it a really comfortable and relaxed space to talk about our opinions. We discuss a lot of interesting topics that make us reflect a lot, in a positive way."
Our ‘Together We Changed’ campaign shines a spotlight on all the fantastic changes that have happened as a result of student feedback, on all areas of their student experience, including teaching.
The campaign exists to keep students in the loop with all the actions that have been taken based on responses to
student surveys
, comments at
Student Opinion Panels/focus groups
, and other student engagement activity. By sharing your student views, it really does help us take the necessary steps towards enhancing your student experience.
The positive feedback our students provide on the lecturers and teaching at Swansea, feed into annual student nominated Excellence in Learning and Teaching and Student Support awards, highlighting the quality of the educational experience here.
Our academics care about how they teach
"I was so impressed by how much she cared about her students. Her passion really shone through, and I admired how much she was willing to listen and understand her students’ voices."
At Swansea University, we are dedicated to training academic staff to continually improve the way we teach. The
Education Development Team

This work is supported by our
Education Quality Services
department, who, using data and integrated systems and processes, deliver a sector-leading, innovative approach to quality assurance and enhancement, enabling Swansea to achieve and maintain an excellent teaching environment.

Work alongside researchers whose work is changing the world

“The Welsh language support is excellent including my personal Welsh tutor and other lecturers who give Swansea University a homely atmosphere.”
We are proud to be a Welsh institution, and we offer the option of learning through the medium of the Welsh language, offering Welsh-medium provision in every faculty. We have a range of options available, from entire degrees to select modules, certain departments also offer Welsh language seminars and tutorials for predominantly English-taught modules.
Swansea University works in partnership with
Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol
; our branch,
Academi Hywel Teifi
provides support and assistance to students wishing to study through the medium of Welsh.
Your future success is our current priority
"I would not have had half the academic success I've had this year without her teaching me, and I certainly would not have had half the fun."
95% of students are in employment, study and/or other activities, such as travelling, 15 months after leaving Swansea University (HESA 2025).
This is because, beyond the classroom, we support students as they prepare for the graduate world.
Our
Careers and Employability team
