Recreational Services Recreational Services Rec Services at AU Augustana University Recreational Services' programs offer vigorous, fun-filled, health-promoting, physical activity conducive to wellness and personal development. Both formal and informal activities encompass team sports, individual and dual sports, competitive and non-competitive activities and a variety of fitness programs. Augustana's Recreational Services provides programs and activities centered in fitness and wellness, sport club activities, intramurals and more. Elmen Center Hours Monthly Calendar Meet the Team INTRAMURALS LATE NIGHTS AUGUSTANA OUTDOOR PROGRAM CLUB SPORTS LEARN TO SWIM GROUP FITNESS The following is considered proper attire for the weight room: Bottoms: Sweatpants, shorts or tights Tops: T-shirts or tank tops (sports bras alone do not count) The following is prohibited in the weight room: Shirtless lifting Bare feet Sandals Additional reminders: If exposed skin would touch the bench/equipment, a towel should be placed between equipment and patron. Athletic shoes are required at all times. Create such quality programs and facilities that students, staff, and faculty are drawn to participate, to get involved. Grange Avenue Sioux Falls, SD 57197 Social Augustana to Bring Excitement, Hockey Cheer to Midco Arena Augustana University will soon be home to one of the first hockey cheer programs in South Dakota. Augustana Hockey Cheer will officially be added to the university’s list of club sports offerings in Fall 2026 and will support its NCAA Division I Viking Hockey Team and potentially, its club hockey teams during home games at Midco Arena. Augustana Esports Program Finds Home in Fryxell Humanities Center on Campus The Augustana Esports Program — the university’s home of organized gaming — has found a space to call home on campus. Established in 2022, the program acquired a lab on the second floor of the Fryxell Humanities Center this past spring. Augustana University Receives Transformational Gift From Elmen Family to Begin Elmen Center Revitalization Project Augustana has raised $2.1 of the estimated $2.9 million needed to revitalize the Elmen Center, located on the southwest corner of 33rd Street and Grange Avenue on the university’s campus. The Bob ‘52 & Rita (Hale) Elmen Family Foundation and the James ‘60 & Eloise (Saugstad) ‘61 Elmen Foundation recently contributed $2 million to the project. With the funds the university has already received, Augustana will begin making updates this spring with the anticipated project completion by Summer 2026. show more
