About Us
Somali International University (SIU) operates as a private, non-profit entity with a strong commitment to providing quality higher education to the Somali population, especially at a time when the country is recovering from the collapse of the central government.
SIU has emerged as a significant educational institution in Somalia since its founding in 2012.
SIU's four campuses in Mogadishu serve as hubs for innovative undergraduate programs, and the planned fifth campus on the outskirts of the city will further enhance its reach, making education more accessible to students from diverse parts of Mogadishu.

Ali Abdullahi Hussein Gudlawe
President of Hirshabelle State
Ali Gudlawe is one of successful SIU alumni, he graduated from Faculty of Arts and Social Science department of Public Administration, Mr. Ali is the vice president of Hirshabelle State of Somalia. Also he was a former governor of Middle Shabelle, He brought more than 15 years of experience in government. Mr. Ali a senior official in the offices of the council of ministers and president, Mr.Ali has played a key role in laying the foundation for the restoration of Hirshabelle state of Somalia.
