Outpatient services
No matter what the reason is for needing therapy services, our comprehensive outpatient therapy program includes specialized expertise to meet your needs:
Physical therapy helps to restore or improve mobility, flexibility, and range of motion, particularly after surgery or injury.
Occupational therapy helps restore functional independence in daily living activities, providing techniques for adapting your home or work environment for greater function and ease of use.
Speech and language services treat swallowing disorders, communication issues such as stuttering or problems with voice or memory.
Inpatient services
Physical, occupational, and speech therapy services are available as part of these programs at several of our hospitals:
At all Virginia Mason Franciscan Health hospitals. Often, the faster you begin therapy, the better able you’ll be to restore function. Our therapists will begin working with you as quickly as possible while you’re in the hospital, and then help you make a seamless transition to our

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Rehabilitation Hospital
is a state-of-the-art, 60-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital in Tacoma dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness.
Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients in their recovery journey. We offer customized, intense rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. We strive to maximize the health, function and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive
